Bhubaneswar: Commuters in Bhubaneswar will not have to pay any fare for their rides in Mo e-buses and e-rickshaws in Odisha’s capital city on Thursday to mark the International Day of Clean Air.
This free ride offer in e-vehicles is a joint initiative of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) and State Pollution Control Board to create awareness about importance of environment protection on the occasion of Clean Air Day.
This free ride offer in e-vehicles was announced by Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das during a walkathon organised in Bhubaneswar to mark International Clean Air Day.
As air pollution is increasing with each passing day, the initiative has been taken to promote e-buses and e-rickshaws in Bhubaneswar to control air pollution.
“@CRUT_BBSR & @bmcbbsr come together to celebrate #InternationalDayOfCleanAirForBlueSkies let’s embark on a journey to a cleaner, greener future! On 7th September 23, hop on Mo E-Bus & Mo E-Ride & pledge to contribute towards sustainability. Let’s pave the way for a green future,” tweeted CRUT.
