Murder Accused Bizman Shot Dead in Kamakhyanagar

Dhenkanal: A businessman named Nirakar Sahu was shot dead by unidentified miscreants in Kamakhyanagar in Dhenkanal district of Odisha on Thursday. The deceased was a resident of Kantioput street in the Tumusinga area.

According to police sources, the victim was managing a stone quarry that he had taken on lease.

His body was recovered from a mango orchard at Souria near the Malabandha railway overbridge in Alatuma village under Kamakhyanagar police station limits. The body bore bullet injury as well as a deep wound on his neck.

As per reports, Nirakar also had a past criminal record. He was arrested in connection with the murder of a panchayat samity member in 2021. He was released on bail four months back.

It is suspected that past enmity may be the reason behind this murder. A police investigation is on to ascertain the reason behind the murder and to identify the killers.
