NCERT Gets Deemed University Status

New Delhi: The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has been granted deemed university status. The Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan made this announcement on Friday.

Pradhan announced this during his address at the 63rd foundation day celebration of the NCERT.

NCERT is the apex organisation for school education in the countery. It also undertakes various activities and programmes, including educational research and innovation, curriculum development and development of textual and teaching-learning materials.
