NEET Aspirant Ends Life in Kota, 12th Suicide in Coaching Hub This Yr

Kota: A 17-year-old student aspiring to join a medical college allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in his rented room in Kota on Thursday. This is the twelfth case of suicide by a coaching student in Kota this year.

In 2023, the number of student suicides in Kota was 26.

The recent victim was Bihar’s Hrishit Kumar Agrawal, a student of Class 12. He was preparing for NEET at a coaching institute in Kota.

He lived in a rented room in a building in Chota Chaurahin Dadabari area. When he did not open his room on Thursday afternoon, his friends informed the police. A police team broke open the door to find Agarwal hanging from a ceiling fan inside his room. The body was in a decomposing state hinting that he committed suicide sometime on Wednesday.

Agarwal was taking coaching for NEET in Kota for the last two years.
