NEET Aspirant from WB Ends Life in Kota, 28th Suicide in Kota This Year

Kota: A 20-year-old student from West Bengal preparing for the NEET exam ended his life in Kota, Rajasthan on Monday. Till now, 28 student suicides have been reported in Kota this year. Kota is well known as a major coaching hub of the country that attracts students preparing for entrance examinations to get admission in medical and engineering courses.

The latest victim to the stress of entrance preparation in Kota was Forid, a youngster from West Bengal. He was staying in Kota’s Waqf Nagar area and preparing for NEET, the entrance examination for admission to MBBS courses.

According to police sources, Forid was found hanging in his room on Monday evening. Although he was rushed to a nearby hospital, the doctors declared him brought dead.

His fellow students became suspicious when he did not come out of his room even after 7 pm and did not respond to their calls. They informed the landlord to contact the police authorities.
