NEET Aspirant Jumps to Death in Kota A Day After Declaration of Results

Kota: Just a day after the declaration of the NEET-UG entrance exam, an 18-year-old aspirant hailing from Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa died jumping from the building where she was staying in Rajasthan’s Kota on Wednesday evening.

The victim was preparing for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (UG) exam at a coaching institute in Kota.

This is the 11th case of suspected student suicide in Kota this year. In 2023, at least 26 aspirants of JEE and NEET committed suicide in this coaching hub.

The recent victim was identified as Bagisha Tiwari, who was staying with her mother and brother at a rented apartment in the Jawahar Nagar area of Kota. She jumped from the building to end her life.

The reason behind the suicide has not been ascertained. Police are investigating the case.
