Night Safari Started at Chandaka Wildlife Sanctuary

Bhubaneswar: Chandaka Wildlife Sanctuary started a night safari facility on January 29, to provide a unique experience to nature and wildlife lovers.

According to the authorities, this night safari at Chandaka Wildlife Sanctuary will enable visitors to experience the sanctuary’s beauty after dark, observing wild animals such as deer, wild boars, and elephants.

The initiative is expected to greatly benefit wildlife enthusiasts, researchers, and students, providing them with an opportunity to witness and closely observe nocturnal animals during the night safari at Chandaka.

This night safari facility will be available for tourists, nature and wildlife lovers till 9.00 PM every day.

The nocturnal nature trail began in the Chandaka-Dampada sanctuary. Schoolchildren were thrilled to be a part of this exciting moment and were rewarded with a grand sighting in the lung of Bhubaneswar City, the PCCF PCCF (Wildlife) Susanta Nanda wrote on his ‘X’ handle.

On Jan 29 evening, arrangements were made for at least 12 vehicles to take schoolchildren to the jungle a night. The safari will remain out of bounds for visitors from 9.00 PM up to 9.30 AM the next morning.

The night safari will be conducted in three time slots between 6.00 PM and 8.00 PM every day. Booking for the first slot will be done at 6.00 PM, followed by the second and third slots at 7.00 PM and 8.00 PM, respectively.
