Note the Date, Chandrayaan-3 to Reach Moon on August 23

New Delhi: Chandrayaan-3 will reach the lunar surface on August 23. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched the Chnardyaan-3 on a journey to the Moon on Friday. The LVM-3 rocket was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota.

All three stages of the LVM3 rocket performed nominally, and the rocket deployed the Chandrayaan-3 mission in space 15 minutes after the launch from Sriharikota.

In the coming days, scientists of ISRO will perform orbit-raising maneuvers to lead the spacecraft toward the Moon.

As per the schedule, Chandrayaan-3 will arrive in lunar orbit on August 5. After that ISRO will try to decrease the orbit of the spacecraft and get it closer and closer to the Moon.

Once the spacecraft is at the required distance from the lunar surface, ISRO will begin the dangerous landing sequence. The scheduled date for the soft landing at the moment is August 23. But the date can change.
