Noted Singer Pranab Patnaik Sufers from Dengue, Odisha CM Provides Aid

Bhubaneswar: Eminent singer Pranab Patnaik has been hospitalized because of dengue, at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.

As instructed by the Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, a delegation met the ailing singer in the hospital to convey a message of the CM wishing a speedy recovery.

The delegation also handed over a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to the noted singer as a support to his undergoing treatment.

The delegation included Odisha Film Development Corporation (OFDC) chairman Satyabrata Tripathy, Odia Language Literature & Culture department Director Dilip Routrai, Joint Director Subodh Chandra Acharya, and Odisha Sangeet Natak Akademi Prabodh Rath.

According to reports, the CM has deputed the director Dilip Rautrai to look after the treatment of the singer at the medical facility.

Pranab Pattanaik started his playback singing career in 1958 through the film ‘Maa’. He has voiced songs in more than 200 Odia films.
