ED Summons Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren in Army Land Scam Case

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Thursday in connection with the Army land scam case.

Soren was earlier summoned by the ED on August 14. Soren had requested for a different date.

The Jharkhand CM was summoned twice by the ED. He was summoned on November 2, 2022. He was questioned for more than 10 hours in connection with the illegal mining case on November 18, 2022.

The ED has requested the central security forces and State police to provide additional forces during the interrogation of CM Soren.

ED has already arrested the suspended IAS officer and former Deputy Commissioner of Ranchi Chhavi Ranjan, many businessmen and CM’s close aide in the Army land scam case.
