Odisha BJP Expels Himanshu Sekhar Sahu for Contesting As Independent Candidate

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha unit of the BJP on Wednesday expelled Himanshu Sekhar Sahu for his involvement in anti-party activities.

Himanshu is contesting as an independent candidate from the Dharmasala constituency.

He was a strong leader of the BJP in the Dharmasala area of Jajpur district and hoped to get the party ticket to contest the Assembly polls. But the BJP announced Smruti Rekha Pahi as its candidate for the Dharmasala Assembly constituency. Following this, Himanshu’s supporters staged a protest in front of the BJP Headquarters office. Himashu also decided to fight as an independent candidate from Dharmasala.
