Odisha EOW Arrests One More Person in Land Fraud Case

Bhubaneswar: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Odisha Police arrested one more accused involved in the illegal sale of land in Bhubaneswar and surrounding areas through fake documents.

The man arrested on Friday was Bichitra Behera of Malipada in Khordha district.

Till now the EOW has arrested eight persons during the investigation of a land fraud case that was registered following a complaint lodged by one Lipika Das of Nasadipur village in Kendrapara district.

As per Lipika’s complaint the accused persons fraudulently sold her land at Malipada mouza in Bhubaneswar through fake sale deeds by impersonating the real owner.

The EOW investigation has also revealed that two more women were also conned by the same land scam racket.

The fraudsters also prepared a false Aadhar card by affixing a photograph of the impersonator on the Aadhar card of the real owners.
