Odisha Govt Announces 15-Day Casual Leave For Staff Of Aided Educational Institutions

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced several key initiatives today, aiming to enhance employee benefits within government-aided educational institutions across the state. Notably, employees will now be entitled to 15 days of casual leave annually, while women employees are set to receive paid maternity leave spanning 180 days.

This significant decision comes in response to proposals put forth by employees from aided educational institutions across various districts during the recent visit of 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman, Kartik Pandian. Following extensive deliberation, the Chief Minister has given his seal of approval to these proposals.

The implementation of these measures is set to positively impact around 33,420 employees, encompassing both teaching and non-teaching staff, who serve in 2560 high schools, 940 UP schools, 39 Sanskrit tolls, and 138 Madrasas across the state.
