Odisha Govt Hikes Daily Wage of Workers

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday enhanced the minimum daily wage for unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled, and highly skilled workers in the state.

As per the CM’s announcement, the wage of unskilled workers has been hiked from Rs 352 per day to Rs 450. Now the semi-skilled workers will get a daily wage of Rs 500 instead of Rs 392.

The daily wage of skilled workers has been increased from Rs 442 to Rs 550. The highly skilled workers will get an enhanced wage of Rs 600 in place of the earlier daily payment of Rs 502.

This decision of the State government to increase the daily wage of workers will benefit the workforce engaged in government and private sectors in the state.
