Bhubaneswar: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida revealed on Tuesday that the second phase of the Rs 5,000 disbursement under the Subhadra Yojana will take place before noon tomorrow. To date, over one crore beneficiaries have registered for this scheme. More than 35 lakh women, who have received NPCI clearance, are set to receive the second phase of the first installment on Wednesday.

Parida said, “The Chief Minister will transfer the second phase of the first installment directly into the beneficiaries’ accounts by noon tomorrow. It is a remarkable achievement that over one crore women have enrolled in this scheme in just half a month. Women have adapted remarkably to digital platforms and I extend my heartfelt thanks to them.”

Women who were not part of the initial disbursement for various reasons will now be included in this phase. Those who submitted their applications by October 7 will see the funds credited to their bank accounts on October 9.

Launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, the Subhadra Yojana saw over 25 lakh women receiving Rs 5,000 on its inaugural day. In total, the scheme aims to benefit over one crore women across Odisha.

Under the Subhadra Yojana, beneficiaries will receive a total of Rs 10,000 in two installments per year, with funds transferred on Raksha Bandhan and International Women’s Day (March 8). Over five years, each beneficiary will receive Rs 50,000.
