Offensive Instagram Post on Hindu God Lands Karnataka Youth in Jail

Bengaluru: A 22-year-old youth was arrested by the Cyber, Economic Offences and Narcotic (CEN) crime police in Mangaluru for posting offensive comments about a Hindu God on Instagram. A case was registered against him at the CEN police station on Thursday.

The arrested person was identified as Mohammed Salman (22) from the Kulshekar area of Mangaluru.

The arrested youth was booked under Sections 67 of the IT Act and 153(A) and 505(2) of the Indian Penal Code.

He was remanded to judicial custody as the local court rejected his bail plea.
