One Injured In Pre-poll Violence In Odisha’s Ghasipura

Bhubaneswar: One person was seriously injured in a pre-poll political clash in Ghasipura of Odisha’s Keonjhar district, while less than 24 hours left for the third phase of polling in Odisha. The injured person was identified as Basanta Chakra of Pandua village. He has been admitted to the Saintala Community Health Centre.

It is alleged that Basant was attacked by a group of political rivals on Wednesday night. He was immediately rushed to Sainkul CHC. According to reports, his condition is stable. This incident made the area tense. Extra police force was rushed to the area following the violent incident.

Earlier, one person lost his life and seven others were injured in a pre-poll clash between supporters of two rival political parties at Khallikote in Ganjam district. The victim was identified as Dilip Pahan of Srikrushnasaranpur village under Khallikote police station limits.
