One Lok Sabha Intruder Used Visitor’s Pass in BJP MP’s Name, Other an Engineer from Mysuru

New Delhi: One of the two youths taken into custody for unauthorized entry into the Lok Sabha with smoke cans got a visitor’s pass issued in the name of BJP MP Pratap Simha, reported India Today.

India Today accessed the visitor’s pass that bore the name of the detainee, Sagar Sharma. The other intruder was identified as Mysuru-based engineer, Manoranjan D.

They jumped into the Lok Sabha hall from the visitors’ gallery and opened canisters that emitted a yellow-coloured smoke. The House was adjourned following this major security breach.

Anyone desiring to visit the Parliament to watch its proceedings has to apply in the name of the MP from his constituency. The MPs in whose names the passes are issued, make a security check for the visitors’ access and check the identity cards submitted by such visitors.

The visitors go through security checks by the guards and electronic machines deployed at the entrance of the Parliament.
