Pakistan Suffer Humiliating 2nd Defeat on Home Soil; Bangladesh Wraps Test Series 2-0

The Bangladesh cricket team soared high by securing their second successive Test match win against Pakistan to wrap up the series 2-0. Bangladesh became the first Asian side to inflict a home Test series sweep to Pakistan in their own home.

It is a defeat that Pakistan’s cricket spectrum will not be able to digest for long run.

Pakistan couldn’t change and make a strong comeback after facing defeat in the first Test by 10 wickets at the hands of Bangladesh on the home soil.

In the second Test against Bangladesh, batting and bowling issues hurt the hosts’ chances. It was their second Test series defeat at home in three years. Pakistan had earlier suffered a 0-3 whitewash at home during England’s 2022 tour.

In the second Test, Pakistan put up a score of 274/10 in the first innings. Saim Ayyub, Shan Masood, and Agha Salman scored half-centuries but stars like Babar Azam (31), Abdullah Shafique (0), Saud Shakeel (16), and Mohammad Rizwan (29) could not add much.

Chasing the total, Bangladesh bagged a total of 262 by the help of a century by Litton Das after losing 6 wickets for just 26 runs. In the second innings, Bangladesh bowlers bundled out Pakistan for 172, with Hasan Mahmud claiming 5 wickets. In the second innings, Bangladesh chased down the target of 185 runs, with 6 wickets in hand.
