Paradip-Haridaspur MEMU Train to Run from March 5

Bhubaneswar: A MEMU train from Paradip in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district to Haridaspur in Jajpur district will start running from March 5. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to flag off the MEMU train at Chandikhol station on the day.

After inspecting the Paradip-Haridaspur section of the railway track on Sunday, East Coast Railway’s divisional railway manager (DRM), Khurda Road HS Bajwa said that the MEMU train will be introduced on the route considering the demand of the railway passengers.

A team from the Commission of Railway Safety conducted the safety inspection. The trail run of a passenger train will be carried out for two days, he added.

This MEMU will leave Paradip station to travel to Keonjhar through Kendrapara. The schedule of the train will be announced after the safety security commissioner’s report, Bajwa said.
