PG Courses Commence at Satyabadi Odia University

Bhubaneswar: The newly established Satyabadi Odia University in Puri district started its postgraduate courses on the occasion of Teachers’ Day on Tuesday.

Addressing the students and faculties on the ocacsion, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said, “This is a proud moment for all of us. I pay my homage to the great persons who enriched Odia language and literature. Like Satyabadi Bana Vidyalaya, Odia University will help further strengthen our national consciousness.”

The CM called upon the university to enrich Odia language by saying, “Odia, the 2,500-year-old classical language, should be researched and ample of opportunity for the purpose should be created,” the CM advised. He advocated use of digital technology as an advantage to facilitate Odia language in reaching out to people in the world.

The Chief Minister directed the officials concerned to complete the construction of the varsity’s building by December 2023.

Higher Education Minister Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Satyabadi MLA Umakanta Samantaray, Vice-Chancellor of the University Dr. Sabita Pradhan and noted educationist Dr. Abhiram Biswal were among the dignitaries present on the occasion.
