PM Greets Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik on BirthDay, Who’s Not Celebrating it for Recent Personal Loss

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has decided not to celebrate his 77^th birthday on Monday because of the demise of his sister and eminent author Geeta Mehta a month back.

He urged his well-wishers not to visit his residence, Naveen Niwas to wish him on his birthday.

He had not celebrated his birthday in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. He refrained from his birthday celebration in 2019 due to cyclone Fani and in 2018 for cyclone Titli.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other leaders on Monday greeted Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on his 77th birthday.

“My greetings to Odisha CM Shri Naveen Patnaik Ji on his birthday. May he be blessed with a long and healthy life. @Naveen_Odisha,” Modi posted on X.

Patnaik responded to Modi’s message by thanking him for the birthday wishes.

“Thank you Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji for your warm birthday wishes,” the Odisha Chief Minister posted on X.
