Notably, Israel is currently under increasing international pressure, including from its closest ally, the United States, to implement a ceasefire in Gaza. US President Joe Biden expressed concern that Israel’s global support is diminishing, although Netanyahu remains steadfast in rejecting calls for a permanent ceasefire. Instead, he has vowed to eliminate Hamas from the Palestinian enclave.
