Polling in 13 Assembly Seats in 7 states, 1st Byelection after LS Polls

New Delhi: Voting continues for the byelections to 13 Assembly constituencies in seven states on Wednesday.

These are the first bypolls after the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections. The polling will be held from 7 am to 6 pm in these Assembly constituencies.

Polling is underway in Rupauli in Bihar, Raiganj, Ranaghat Dakshin, Bagdah and Maniktala (all in West Bengal), Vikravandi (Tamil Nadu), Amarwara (Madhya Pradesh), Badrinath and Manglaur (all in Uttarakhand), Jalandhar West (Punjab) and Dehra, Hamirpur and Nalagarh (all in Himachal Pradesh).

The bypolls are being held following vacancies due to the deaths of incumbent MLAs and resignations from different parties.

The counting of votes will be on July 13.
