Baripada: President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday flagged off three new trains at Badampahar railway station in Mayurbhanj district. These trains connect to her home town Rairangpur.
The three new trains inaugurated by the President are Badampahar-Tata Nagar MEMU, Badampahar-Rourkela Weekly Express and Badampahar-Shalimar Weekly Express.
Odisha Governor Raghubar Das, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw along with other Central ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, and Bishweswar Tudu and state minister Sudam Marndi were present on the occasion.
The President also laid the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Badampahar railway station and inaugurated the new Rairangpur Postal Division.
She boarded the Badampahar Shalimar Express to travel 32 km to Rairangpur with 200 school students.
