Professor Sexually Assaults Female Doctor on Flight, Arrested

Mumbai: A 47-year-old professor was arrested on charges of sexually harassing a female doctor on a Delhi-Mumbai flight. He was arrested when the flight landed in Mumbai.

The incident took place on Wednesday. The victim and the accused had adjacent seats on the flight that took off from Delhi at 5.30 am.

In her complaint, the female doctor alleged that the professor touched her inappropriately before the flight was about to land at the Mumbai airport. This led to an altercation between the two and the flight’s crew members intervened.

After the flight landed at the Mumbai airport, a case was registered at the Sahar police station, and the professor was arrested, the police official said.

The court granted bail to the accused professor. An investigation was on.
