Punjab ACP & His Gunman Burnt Alive as Car Catches Fire After Accident

Chandigarh: Assistant Commissioner of Police (East) of Ludhiana Sandeep Singh (35) and his gunman Paramjot Singh (35) were burnt alive in a fatal road accident in Punjab on Friday night.

The Toyota Fortuner in which they were travelling caught fire after it had a head-on collision with a Scorpio on a flyover at Dayalpura near Samrala. The driver of the vehicle suffered serious injuries.

According to eyewitnesses, the Fortuner after the collision with the Scorpio, crashed to the roadside divider and caught fire. A fire tender rushed to the spot but by then both had been charred to death.

The incident occurred at around 12.30 am when the ACP along with his gunman and the driver was heading toward Ludhiana from Chandigarh.

The Scorpio, involved in the accident has been seized by the police and a case has been registered against the Scorpio driver.
