Rahul Dravid To Exit, BCCI to Advertise for New Head Coach

New Delhi: An advertisement to hire a new head coach of Team India will be released soon by the Board of Control for Cricket, informed BCCI Secretary Jay Shah.

Rahul Dravid continues as Team India’s head coach since November 2021. His contract was extended after the conclusion of the 2023 ODI World Cup.

Dravid’s current contract with the BCCI, as the head coach of the Indian team ends in June, when the Indian team will be playing the T20 World Cup.  campaign.

Jay Shah confirmed that Dravid can apply for the post of head coach if he wants to but there will be no automatic extension like before. Speaking to Cricbuzzand, the BCCi secretary refused to rule out the possibility of hiring a foreign coach.

But Shah ruled out the possibility of hiring different coaches for different formats.
