Rajasthan Assembly Elections: Over 40% Turnout Recorded Till 1 PM

Jaipur: In the ongoing Rajasthan assembly elections, over 40% of the eligible voters have exercised their franchise as of 1 PM on Saturday, according to official sources. The polling process commenced at 7 am across 199 assembly constituencies in the state.

As of 1 pm, the voter turnout stands at 40.27%, reflecting a significant increase from the 24.74% recorded until 11 am. Notably, the Kaman assembly constituency witnessed the highest polling percentage at 38.56% by 11 am, followed by Tijara at 34.08%.

With voting scheduled to continue until 6 PM, the current election involves 199 out of the 200 assembly constituencies in Rajasthan. A substantial electorate comprising more than 5.25 crore voters will play a decisive role in determining the fate of 1,862 candidates vying for seats in this election.

It’s important to mention that the polling in the Karanpur assembly constituency in Sriganganagar has been deferred due to the unfortunate demise of the Congress candidate. The votes for this constituency will be tabulated on December 3.
