Rana Daggubati’s Next Film on Demon King ‘Hiranyakashyap’

Hyderabad: Actor-producer Rana Daggubati’s next film will be on demon king “Hiranyakashyap”.

This pan-India film is inspired by an Amar Chitra Katha (ACK) comic. In this movie, Rana Daggubati will play the play the demon king from Hindu mythology. His VFX and production company Spirit Media will be involved in the project.

Daggubati’s production company Spirit Media holds a stake in the comic book publishing company, ACK.

Daggubati plans to present timeless stories from the Amar Chitra Katha stable as big-screen spectacles.

A teaser of “Hirankashyap” was released at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC 2023) in July. It will be about the mythological demon king and his relentless quest to annihilate beliefs and faith of his son, Prahlad, a Vishnu devotee.

“Hiranyakashyap” is currently in the writing stage and pre-production will begin next year in March.
