Rs 10 Lakh Unaccounted Cash Seized from Car in Boudh

Boudh: During vehicle checking, police seized more than Rs 10 lakh unaccounted cash from a car in Odisha’s Boudh district on Monday.

A static surveillance team (SST) of Purunakatak police station intercepted an SUV at a checkpost. Cash worth more than Rs 10 lakh was unearthed from the vehicle.

As the passengers of the vehicle could not produce any proof regarding the possession of the cash and also did not reveal its source, they were detained by the police for interrogation. The car was also seized by the police.

The polling in the Boudh Assembly seat under the Phulbani Parliamentary constituency is to be held on May 20.
