RSS Chief’s Security Enhanced to at Par With PM Modi, Home Min Shah

New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has upgraded the security for RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, elevating him to the status of an Advance Security Liaison (ASL) protectee, a designation equivalent to that of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, reported The Tribune.

The security upgrade of the RSS chief was made due to alleged potential security gaps, especially in non-BJP states, which was pointed out by the Intelligence Bureau.

Earlier, Bahgawat was under Z-plus security under the supervision of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

Under the new enhanced security protocol for the RSS chief, the local agencies including district administrations, police, and health departments will play an active role in his security.

The security will involve multi-layered security rings, stringent anti-sabotage measures, and comprehensive pre-visit reviews and rehearsals.
