Nina Singh Becomes 1st Woman Director of CISF

New Delhi: Nina Singh was appointed as the first woman Director General of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) by the central government on Thursday.

Nina Singh is a 1989-batch IPS officer of the Rajasthan cadre. At present she is the Special DG of the CISF.

Meanwhile, Rahul Rasgotra, the Special Director of the Intelligence Bureau (IB), was appointed as the new Director General of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). He is also a 1989-batch IPS officer but from the Manipur cadre.

The current ITBP chief, Anish Dayal Singh, was appointed as the Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). He is currently investigating the Parliament security breach incident that happened on December 11.
