School Bus Overturns in Koraput District, Principal’s Wife Dead & 8 Injured

Koraput: A woman died and eight others were injured when a school bus carrying 23 teachers and other employees overturned near Mantri Amba Ghati under Baipariguda police station limits on Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Nilima Panda, the wife of the principal of Immanuel School. According to reports, the teachers and other staff of Immanuel School were on their way to pay tribute to a dead peon of the school, when they met with the accident.

Failure of brakes is said to be the reason behind the accident.

The injured were admitted to the Baipariguda Community Health Centre (CHC) for treatment.
