Servitors’ Tussle Stalls Daily Rituals in Lingaraj Temple

Bhubaneswar: A tussle between servitors in the Lingaraj temple on Monday has stalled the daily rituals of the deities.

As per reports, after the Badasinghar ritual on Monday night, all the other rituals have been stopped. This has worried the devotees.

According to sources, the conflict arose from the Paita Lagi ritual of Lord Lingaraj. The Puja Panda and Badu Nijoga servitors were at loggerheads over the performance of the ritual.

As the regular daily rituals of the deities have not been performed, the holy Prasad of the Lingaraj temple has also not been cooked.

The same conflict had arisen in August 2022, and the rituals were resumed after two days.
