Sisodia Disappointed, SC Defers His Bail Hearing to September 4

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday deferred the interim bail hearing of AAP leader Manish Sisodia in two Delhi excise policy cases being investigated by the CBI and ED until September 4.

Citing his wife’s medical condition, Sisodia had filed a petition for interim bail.

But a bench of the apex court concluded that the condition of his wife is “fairly stable.”

On Thursday, the CBI asked the Supreme Court to deny bail to Sisodia, alleging that he is the “kingpin and architect” of the conspiracy behind the liquor policy irregularities.

The CBI had on February 2 arrested Sisodia.
