“Slap Muslim Classmate” Horror in UP School, Muslim Boy Beaten for an Hour

Lucknow: A viral video of a schoolteacher in Uttar Pradesh ordering her students to slap their Muslim classmate has created widespread outrage.

In this video from a school in Muzaffarnagar recorded on Thursday, a boy stands helplessly in tears as the principal of the school, Tripta Tyagi, along with communal remarks orders students to slap him for not doing his homework.

“I have declared it – all Muslim children should be beaten,” says the principal of Neha Public School on camera. The incident took place on Thursday.

The seven-year-old boy was forced to stand for hours, humiliated and beaten, his father told the police.

Although the family didn’t report the crime, police registered a case when the video went viral.

The accused principal claimed the video was edited.

The incident provoked a political furore with the Congress targeting Uttar Pradesh’s ruling BJP.
