Bhubaneswar: Severe heat wave condition prevails in Odisha as on Monday, Balasore recorded 41.6 degrees Celsius at 11.30 am.
Keonjhar suffered at 41 degrees at that time and it was 40.4 degrees in Bhubaneswar.

For Monday, the IMD has issued red warning for Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Angul, Dhenkanal, Nuapada, Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Khurda and Jajpur districts.
Orange heatwave alert has been issued for places including Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Balasore, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Koraput.
