Tendulkar’s Statue to Be Unveiled at Wankhede Stadium Tomorrow

Mumbai: A life-size statue of master blaster Sachin Tendulkar will be inaugurated in the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday. This statue is being established ten years after his retirement.

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has established this statue at his home ground Wankhede Stadium. The life-size statue of Tendulkar would be unveiled on the eve of the India-Sri Lanka ICC World Cup 2023 encounter.

Tendulkar will be present for the unveiling ceremony. The statue has been installed by MCA near Sachin Tendulkar Stand at the stadium.

Maharashtra Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis will be present during the inauguration ceremony of the statue.

Tendulkar took retirement at Wankhede Stadium, which has a stand dedicated after him. He played his 200th and final Test at the Wankhede in November 2013.
