Tendulkar Meets Kashmir’s Arm-Less Para Cricketer Amir Hussain Lone, Gifts Him a Bat

Srinagar: Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar kept his promise and during his recent Kashmir visit met the Jammu and Kashmir’s Para cricket team captain Amir Hussain Lone.

The renowned Indian batter’s attention was drawn to Amir Lone when he saw him practising cricket even after he lost both his arms in an accident when he was eight years old.

Tendulkar was amazed by seeing Lone bat by holding the bat at his neck. He bowls with his leg.

He gifted a bat to Amir which had a personalised inspiring message “To Amir, the real hero. Keep inspiring” as well as his autograph. He also posted a video of his meeting with Lone on X with the same message.

The 34-year-old Amir is currently the captain of Jammu & Kashmir’s Para cricket team. He has been playing cricket professionally since 2013. Amir lost both his arms in an accident at his father’s mill when he was eight years old.
