Top Maoist Leader Katakam Sudarshan alias Anand Dies of Heart Attack

Bhubaneswar: Katakam Sudarshan alias Anand, a top Maoist leader, who was the member of the politbureau of the banned outfit as well as a central committee member of the CPI (Maoist) organization, is reported to have died of heart attack.

His death was confirmed through a press release of the outlawed CPI (Maoist) organization, said reports. He was associated with the Naxalites for the last five decades and was staying in the ‘Gurella Zone’ at the border of Telengana and Dandakaryana forest.

He is said to have intensified the gurella warfare in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha and Chhattisgarh.

As per reports, he was suffering from diabetes and high blood pressures for the past few years.
