Tribal Leader & Ex-MLA George Tirkey’s Son Joins BJD

Bhubaneswar: Tribal leader and former MLA George Tirkey’s son Rohit Joseph Tirkey joined the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Wednesday. He was earlier in the Congress.

He joined the regional party at its state headquarters Sankha Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.

Rohit had contested the 2019 Assembly polls from the Biramitrapur assembly seat on a Congress ticket. He was defeated in the election.
