Case Against Magistrate for Asking Dalit Rape Victim to Strip in Rajasthan

Jaipur: Rajasthan police have registered a case against a magistrate in Karauli district for allegedly asking a Dalit rape victim to strip to show her injuries.

According to reports, the victim filed a complaint before the police on March 30 alleging that the Hindaun court magistrate asked her to strip to show her injuries.

The victim refused to strip before the magistrate and registered a complaint against the magistrate under charges of outraging modesty.

The magistrate was booked under section 345 (wrongful confinement) of the IPC and SC/ST (prevention of atrocities) Act.

The victim was allegedly raped on March 19 and an FIR in the matter was registered on March 27 at Hindaun Sadar Police Station.
