UP CM Yogi Adityanath Orders Eateries on Kanwar Route To Display Owners’ Names, Similar Order in Haridwar

Lucknow: All eateries along the Kanwar Yatra route should display the names of their owners, ordered Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday.

The Chief Minister stated that the decision had been taken to preserve the sanctity of Kanwar pilgrims.

Now, every eatery, be it a restaurant, a roadside dhaba, or even a food cart, will have to display the name of the owner.

A day back, following criticism of opposition parties, Muzaffarnagar police revoked its similar orders, making it “voluntary” for eateries to display the owners’ names.

As per the recent order of the UP CM, every food shop or cart owner will have to put the owner’s name on the board.

Similar order has been issued in Uttarakhand’s Haridwar. “All hotel and dhaba owners are ordered to display their name, QR code, and mobile numbers outside their outlets. Action would be taken against violators, and their outlets would be removed,” the order of the local police in Haridwar read.
