Watch: Suicide Attack on Pakistan Airbase, 3 Planes Damaged, 3 Militants Killed in Exchange of Fire

A Pakistan Air Force Base in Mianwali in Punjab province came under the attack of multiple ‘suicide bombers’ on Saturday morning. According to media reports that quoted Pakistan Air Force (PAF), three militants were killed in the retaliatory firing.

Three planes parked inside the Air Force base were damaged in the attack and a fuel bowser also occurred.

It was an early morning attack by a group of five to six heavily armed men. The PAF confirmed the attack and said the attack was thwarted before the terrorists could enter the airbase.

Three terrorists were neutralised and the remaining 3 terrorists were cornered/isolated, said the Pakistan army.

The Pakistan-based terrorist group Tehreek-e-Jihad Pakistan (TJP) has taken responsibility for the attack.

Unverified videos of the attack are being widely shared on social media.
