Who Stole Imran Khan’s Party’s Theme Song? BJP & Congress Blame Each Other

New Delhi: Allegations of plagiarization of Pakistani songs are not new in India. But this time the BJP and the Congress are at loggerheads over the use of the tune of a Pakistani song. Interestingly it is the theme song of Pakistan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf Party headed by Imran Khan.

The state units of the BJP and Congress in Madhya Pradesh on Monday on Monday accused each other of “stealing” the theme song of Imran Khan’s party for their respective political campaigns for upcoming assembly elections in the state.

Leaders of the ruling BJP alleged that the Congress has “stolen” the theme song of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf for its proposed Jan Aakrosh Yatra campaign in Madhya Pradesh.

The Congress retaliated with a counter allegation, claiming that the song of the Pakistani political party was copied for campaigns by Dushyant Chautala, the Deputy Chief Minister in Haryana’s BJP government, as well as in Rajasthan for political campaign.
