Wild Bear Mauls Contractor to Death in Nabarangpur District

Nabarangpur: A person died in a wild bear attack in a forest near the Bhartasiuni area in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as a contractor of the Bhratmala road project being implemented in the area. He is reported to be a resident of Madhya Pradesh.

He faced the bear attack when he went to the forest near Bikrampur in the morning. All of a sudden the bear came out of the forest and dragged away the victim into the forest to maul him to death.

After receiving information, personnel of the forest department along with the police force reached the spot. They recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem.
