Youth Arrested for Minor’s Murder Over Gay Sex in Cuttack

Cuttack: A youth named Jogendra Panda was arrested in connection to the recovery of the body of a minor from a pond in in Jagatpur area of Odisha’s Cuttack.

The police investigation has revealed that Jogendra was allegedly attempting to have homosexual relations with the minor. When the minor threatened to inform his family members about it, Jogendra, in anger hit him with a wooden plank and then sliced his throat with a sickle.

The minor boy’s body was recovered from a pond near Thoria Sahi on December 16.

Speaking to newsmen, Cuttack DCP Pinak Mishra informed that it was murder over the demand of unnatural sex. After being beaten by his father, the minor boy had left his home and was hiding at a place in the neighbourhood when the accused approached him. The accused tried to lure the boy into having unnatural sex with him. When the minor threatened to reveal this to his family, Jogendra hit him with a wooden plank. When the boy fell unconscious, Jogendra slit his throat with a sickle.
