In 2021, her total assets increased by 54 percent and reached 84,330 crores. A decade ago, Brand Nykaa emerged as the richest self-made woman with a net worth of Rs. 57,520 crore, according to the Kotak Private Banking-Huron list.

Nair, 59, has seen her wealth grow by 963 per cent and, according to reports, is the second richest woman behind Roshni Malhotra, the 40-year-old daughter of HCL Technologies founder Shiv Nadar.

Baicon’s Kiran mazumdar-Khan has seen a 21 per cent drop in her income and is the third richest woman in the country with assets of Rs. 29.33 crore, the report said. The 100 Women list is exclusively for Indian women who were born or raised in India, who are actively running their own businesses or are self-employed. The total assets of these 100 women increased by 53 percent in 2021 to Rs 4.16 lakh crore in 2021 from Rs 2.72 lakh crore in 2020.
