34-Yr-Old man Rapes 15-Yr-Old Niece in Navi Mumbai

Mumbai: A 34-year-old man was arrested by police from Navi Mumbai township in Maharashtra for allegedly raping his 15-year-old niece. The victim was found to be pregnant.

The accused is the maternal uncle of the girl. It is alleged that he raped the victim at his home on October 4, 2023.

Later on during treatment of some health issues at a hospital in the Govandi area of Mumbai, she was found to be pregnant.

The hospital authorities reported her pregnancy to the Nerul police station following which the accused was arrested on Sunday.

The accused was booked under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
